Samsung’s most recent Galaxy Unpacked event came with the expected announcements of two foldable devices, new smartwatches, and improvements to its Galaxy Buds Pro line. Although the company’s announcements didn’t particularly surprise many, the modifications only appear to be general quality enhancements. However, as always, complete product reviews will determine whether or not these updates are actually appreciably better or otherwise. Fingers crossed on that.
Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4
The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 comes in a similar appearance to its predecessor, and it still flips down as older flip phones would. However, there are a few brand-new software tricks, such as rapid charging, which can charge a phone up to 50% in around 30 minutes, and selfie previews that appear on the cover screen with the same aspect ratio as the image itself. Find out more about the all-new Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 here. You can preorder the phone starting at $999 today while it becomes available on August 26.
Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
Samsung also doesn’t fundamentally make changes to the Galaxy Z Fold 4. Samsung made some significant improvements to the camera array, including the addition of a new 50-megapixel primary sensor. The design is virtually the same, although being somewhat lighter than before. But even at that price, it’s still an expensive phone. It is currently available for preorder; delivery is scheduled for August 26.
Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro
With larger batteries in the Galaxy Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro, Samsung aimed to improve upon the Galaxy Watch 4 series’ short battery life. It has a body temperature sensor as well, which is something that is anticipated to be added to the Apple Watch this year. Preorders for the Watch 5 and Watch 5 Pro may be made right now, and shipments will start on August 26.
Galaxy Buds 2
The updated Galaxy Buds 2 from Samsung are 15% smaller than the originals and feature 24-bit hi-fi audio through Bluetooth. However, those improvements come at a larger cost; the new Galaxy Buds Pro cost $229.99, which is a $30 increase. They are currently available for preorder before their August 26th release.
