Apple Unveils The Worlds Thinnest Tablet and Its Innovative new Payment Platform

Following the introduction of the iPhone 6, Apple has recently revealed its newest mobile device; the iPad Air 2. It is officially the world’s thinnest tablet with a razor sharp width of 6.1mm. Its not just the size that has been improved on, the device boasts of a better display with a screen resolution of 2048 by 1536 pixels – quite impressive! – as well as Apple’s brand new A8X chip, which it says is 40% faster than the previous model, the company also promises a 10-hour battery life.

The iPad Air 2 starts at a price of £399 for the 16GB model, while the 64GB version costs £479 and the 128GB model will cost £599. For the 4G models, you’ll have to pay £499 (16GB), £579 (64GB) and £659 (128GB).

The tech giant also unveiled its new payment service, which goes live Monday and has hundreds of banks on board, It puts Apple in the middle of a wide range of consumer transactions, underscoring Apple’s value as a brand and giving people a powerful new reason to buy iPhones, iPads and other gadgets.

Apple Pay is designed to work on the company’s newest iPhone models starting fro the iPhone 6, which contain a chip that allows payments at a special terminal in retail outlets. It also will be available on the new iPad Air 2 for online purchases only.
