The wait is over as Apple just announced that its iPhone event will take place on the 13th of October, 2020, next week Tuesday. We expect that the iPhone 12 series will be unveiled. The strictly online event invitation was sent out to the media with a tease phrase “Hi, Speed” and now the speculations can begin. One top speculation is that the iPhone 12 will support the high speed 5G that is being rolled out in many cities across the world. It could also have something to do with the ultra-fast 120Hz refresh rate even though this seems unlikely.
Apple usually announces its new phones in September but its clear that the COVID-19 pandemic may have had an effect on that. Rather Apple chose to announced a the Watch Series 6 and an update to its services.
The new iPhones are rumoured to have square edges, something close to the SE design. Display size may be smaller than the iPhone 11 Pro at 5.4 inch but the Max one could be as big as 6.7 inches in display making it the biggest iPhone screen ever but we will have wait until next week to learn more.
There are other hardware that may be announced at the October 13th event like a smaller Homepod new headphones. There may be a Mac announcement too.
We will be on hand to bring this to you as Apple announced the new iPhones.
