Apple is at it again, and this time it’s the announcement for its virtual event happening on the 8th of March. Earlier today the company revealed a multicolour Apple logo with a tagline that says “peek performance.” Reports say the multicoloured Apple logo is a hint at the colours of new devices the company is revealing.
Although the company didn’t disclose details of the event, fingers are crossed, the expectations are high because when Apple announces events like this, one thing is guaranteed – a phenomenal display of Apple products. The event is set to take place at about 1 PM ET / 10 AM PT with a broadcast happening at Apple Park.
According to reports from Mark Gurman, a Bloomberg reporter, who seem to have understood Apple’s workings and over the years has become a reliable source for Apple rumours, speculates that Apple is about to unveil a low-budget iPhone SE. Gurman suggests that the new device will possess a 5G, a faster A15 CPU chip, and better cameras. Gurman also suggests that the new device will be sharing a similar design just like the current iPhone SE which further signify that the new SE may be most likely to retain the Touch ID feature.
In addition, the Bloomberg reporter has suggested that the latest iteration of the iPad Air will be unveiled by the company. The new tablet is expected to feature a new CPU and 5G for cellular-equipped models. Gurman didn’t stop at that, he also speculates that Apple may delight users with the release of the new iOS 15.4 update. This iOS update is expected to make it possible for Face ID-equipped iPhones and iPads to be unlocked while wearing a face mask. Like that isn’t enough a Universal Control feature is also expected to debut with the new update, which would mean users could use one keyboard and mouse across multiple iPads and Macs. The event feels packed already, but clearly, this is speculation and not facts.
Rumoured making rounds also say a new Mac that possesses Apple-designed chips may likely arrive sometime in March, however that is likely not a device scheduled for launch at this particular event neither are the new iPhone 14 models, AirPods, Apple Watches, MacBook Air, iMac, and Mac Pro desktops as well. Rumours say they will be launched later in 2022. For now, we stay focused on Apple’s virtual event to find out all the tech goodies it has for users.
