Like The New Android Oreo/8? Then Here Are The Smartphones That Will Run On It Besides Google’s Pixel

Earlier last week, Android Oreo was officially launched and it came with some amazing new features, a quick recap in case you miss the post these feature are a notification dot which helps user have access to their notification without pulling down the top of their screen. It also came prepared for all chat and music lovers through an added feature to help save the battery life and help it last longer than before among other features.

The announcement was made by Google in New York and it will be rolled out to smartphones and other device across the world. Android Oreo also known as android 8 will be made available in some devices this September.

Many smartphones are still in android M software version which was launched in 2015 and at least according to a report stating the smartphone android version estimates as of August 2017, Android Nougat 7.0 runs on about 12.3 % devices, while Android 7.1 was said to be powering 1.2% of smart devices while Android marshmallow, Android lollipop version 5.1, and lollipop version 5.0 all stood at 32.3%, 21.8% and 7.4% respectively.

Therefore, with the official launch of the android Oreo, it is important to know which of these smartphones will have the updated software version installed in it. Here’s a list of some of the devices that will be powered by Android Oreo;

• Google Pixel
• Nexus 5X
• Nokia 8
• Essential PH-1 and some others.

Pixel, Nexus devices

All Google Pixel, Pixel XL, Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus player and Pixel C tablet will have the new Android 8 installed on them and for users who already have the beta version of the Android Oreo on their devices, they should go to the settings of their phones and install the final build for the Android 8 by today, it will be downloaded manually and installed on their devices.

Nokia smartphones

As reported by HND Global, All their new smartphones will be on the list of smartphones that will have the latest version of the android Oreo which it has promised it roll out in Nokia 6, Nokia 5, and Nokia 3 smartphones and the latest Nokia n8 is not an exception for the new Android version

Essential PH-1 smartphone

In a Google post ,the essential PH 1 mobile smartphones will be added to the list of devices the will have the upgrade, Essential a company created by the co-founder of android , Andy Rubin , PH 1 has a wonderful specification like 13Mp rear camera, 5.7 inch QHD screen  and 4GB RAM + 128GB storage.

Other smartphones

Samsung, Huawei, General Mobile, HTC, Kyocera, LG, Motorola, Samsung,  Sony , Oneplus, Oneplus 3 and 3 T also mentioned on the list of those smartphones that will upgrade or launch devices to Android Oreo 8.0
