A
Bloomberg report had indicated that Multinational e-commerce, cloud computing, digital streaming company, Amazon is in the process of dishing out new devices, which included an Echo with a 15-inch wall-mounted display, a soundbar, new Echo Auto technology and wearables, with some of these products likely to be showcased at the hardware event of the company slated for September 28.

The Alexa-enabled Echo adorned with a 15-inches display size in one of its exciting new picks, aside from being placed on a stand like the normal echo device, could be mounted on a wall. The splashing looking product codenamed ‘Hoya’ would serve as a smart-home center to control lights, cameras, locks and other devices, while showing weather, timers, appointments, photos and more. The design can be said to be mainly kitchen-fitted, with the capacity to display recipes and cooking videos form YouTube, also  giving the user the leverage to stream  apps like Netflix et al.

It is expected that the company would unveil its own soundbar, to come along a rumored lineup of Amazon-branded TVs. The device codenamed ‘Harmony’ will have a front-facing camera, while it also support video calls from TVs, much like Facebook’s Portal TV, a departure from the normal Alexa-enabled soundbars.

Amazon is also said to be developing a new ‘Echo Auto’ version, codenamed ‘Marion’ that will have a new design and give the opportunity to charge through inductive technology. Not to forget that the company in a partnership with Ford is on the move to infuse Alexa in 700,000 automobiles while smarting to collaborate with other automakers.

There are also other products in the offing: which included new Echo speakers set to be released in the year 2022, wearables for kids and adults (immersed with fall detection), dedicated processors to improve artificial intelligence (AI) together with new technology to help its Fire TV, Echo and other devices, to make them work better together.

The report also highlighted that the company has some other out of the normal products in the works. The report claimed Amazon is working on a home robot that will infuse the Alexa interface, and an Alexa-powered karaoke microphone. There were reports that the set to be built robot codenamed ‘Vesta’ has the initial team working on it disbanded.

But will Amazon be able to pull off these new productions?

Time will tell.
