This $14k/4.4m Naira Android Phone Features An Almost “Unbreakable” Security According To Its Maker

What’s the most expensive Android smartphone you have seen? I bet it’s not Solarin. Sirin Labs which is the company behind this phone said the device was designed for international business people and runs “military grade” security system. It’s military grade because the company says they  “partnered with KoolSpan to integrate chip-to-chip 256-bit AES encryption, the same technology that militaries around the world use to protect their communications, offering the strongest possible mobile privacy protection worldwide. Activated by the unique Security Switch on the back of the handset, the phone enters a shielded mode, presenting an exclusive suite for fully encrypted calls and messages. ‘Cyber-attacks are endemic across the globe. “

It has a base storage of 128GB and 4GB Ram (others offer this as well but wait for it), it has five antennas and 24 LTE bands at possible speeds of 4.6 Gbps. In addition  the phone  supports 802.11ac 2×2 MU-MIMO (multi user multiple input, multiple output) technology, offering up to three times the speed and capacity of conventional 1×1 configuration.

Another uncommon feature it has is  a 23.8-megapixel camera and fingerprint sensor covered with Italian leather and just in case you want to encrypt your conversation, you can hit a special security switch.  Maybe the last feature it has that anyone paying that amount for a mobile phone would want is aesthetics. It’s a beautiful phone and pricing starts from $14,000/4.4m Naira. They even have a gold version for $17,500/5.6m.

Some think this is the replacement for the Blackberry which was a darling of the business community but the pricing casts some doubt on this. Even with some interesting security features coming to applications and smartphones, pricing is always something to consider. What if you buy such a device and something happens to it? Hackers are evolving as well you know. This device is a potential target for hackers and this could end up making high profile users targets as well. In all though, it won’t be a bad idea to own one. Please inbox me if you want to get me this gift because I would gladly accept it. Sirin Labs got $72m in funding last year to develop the idea so let’s hope there’s something else the investors are seeing that we can’t see and hopefully it will be explained to us all in due course.

Conversion rates are based on 320 Naira to a dollar.
