Want A New Job And Don’t Want Your Boss To Know? LinkedIn Just Made That Possible

Looking for a job? At least by now you know that LinkedIn is a great place to connect with recruiters. How about if you’re looking for a better job, I won’t advise that you try and do that on LinkedIn because you and I know what could happen if your current boss finds out or a jealous colleague for that matter.

But LinkedIn has come up with a new service called Open Candidates which lets you privately let recruiters know you’re looking for a job. In a blog post yesterday, they said you can specify the types of companies and roles you are most interested in and be easily found by the hundreds of thousands of recruiters who use LinkedIn to find great professional talent.

This information will be visible to recruiters who work at/for other companies and pay the $9,000 annual fee for premium recruiter service.

The aim here is to be able to add the job search signal to your profile without any other person seeing it other than the recruiters who are meant or authorised to see it.

The new Open Candidates feature has been in beta for months and has been tested by over 1 million users.

The company has either been redesigning or launching new products lately. They announced LinkedIn Learning; an online training service for individuals and companies alike.

Open Candidates is available in the U.S, U.K., Canada and Australia on the desktop and mobile Web for now and will be rolling out globally soon.
