How to get Android L’s performance boost right now

To optimize your Android device’s performance, head over to Developer options located under the settings menu; from there, scroll down to ‘Select runtime’ and choose ART. On rebooting your device, the device starts optimizing your apps for the new runtime environment. Although this procedure may be time-consuming, it significantly enhances your device’s performance.

It’s important to remember, however, that some apps might not be compatible with the ART runtime. If you encounter issues, such as an app refusing to launch or difficulties receiving software updates, it’s recommended to switch back to Dalvik mode using the same procedure.
