This 10 year old boy from Finland discovered a bug that could be used to delete comments on Instagram and was paid $10,000/3m Naira for it. The boy identified as Jani without his surname obviously for privacy reasons said “I wanted to see if Instagram’s comment field could stand malicious code. Turns out it couldn’t,” in an interview with Finland’s Iltalehti newspaper.

You have to be at least 13 to own a social media account got to know about this by learning how to code from YouTube videos and eventually found a way to delete just about anyone’s comments on Instagram.

Facebook has since fixed it and payment was made out to the boy in March. It is not uncommon to for tech giants to make such payouts to developers. Google has paid out millions of dollars to developers over the years since it launched its bounty program.
